Winnie, now known as Chicken La La, has found his forever home in a wonderful family of three. He is very happy to have found this family and they are happy as well.
On August 12, 2009 two young adult cats - Lacie and Trixie - went up to Napa Winery country to become Winery cats. These two cats were what is termed semi-feral - they prefer to ignore people but were used to being cared for by people. Although they were rescued very young they still just didn't enjoy being handled or touched; this sometimes happens when doing TNR and rescue. At already over a year old they just weren't finding indoor homes. A safe in/out environment is just what they needed, and we found that in a winery! After 2 weeks in a plush office with picture windows and people cooing over them, they were granted open door from the office to make their way out to the larger aspects of the winery. We were updated on 10/1/09 that all is well and Lacie and Trixie are enjoying their respective areas of the winery, one deciding they preferred the side yard, and one the back yard. The winery is thrilled and we are happy they have their own little paradise, after waiting so long for some place to really call home, and now they have one!. A large thanks to Bouchaine winery – check out their fine wines, Janice and Dan can attest to how great they are! www.Bouchaine.com
Kief is doing great! He settled in really well with my family and he loves it here. He is a very dependant cat and when we leave the room he will meow for at least a few minutes until we come back. It is pretty cute. I renamed him Topher. The funny thing though is he is rarely called that. My uncle calls him Tofu, I call him Tiger and my grandparents call him kitty. He turned out to be a great lap cat (after you burn out all of his energy from hours of playing). I attached some pictures so you can see him :] (PS. he thinks the laptop was made for him to paw at and push buttons).
Mitzy is happy, as happy as she could be, with a couple living in a quiet area of Los Gatos. She is free to come and go as she please's (and that is something she always liked). Mitzy has found her forever home.
Michelle and Guy, I just want you to know that the kittens, now called Jazz and Skooch, are happy and so are we. We love them so much! They seem to have adjusted so quickly and easily and now run around the house like they own the place (which they do). They are smart, loving and SO cute. Their personalities have started coming out more and more. Thank you so much for giving them such a wonderful start in life. Their upbringing shines – they are well adjusted, socialized, and very loving kittens. That all came from both of you. Please keep up your wonderful work! All the best, Doris and Karen
