I’m Patti Paws, but my mom calls me Patti Cakes and Cake-o. My dad calls me Cakey Baby. You can call me pretty much anything and I’ll come running! I LOVE RUNNING! I like to play, especially with my bird-bug toy. I like to snuggle, especially with my sister, big brother, or foster kittens. I like to be naughty, especially by racing out of my bedroom at bedtime or leaving olive oil paw prints on the counters (where I am NOT allowed). I LIKE TO RACE AROUND THE HOUSE BECAUSE I AM SO FAST! My sister, Leggles, is my best friend in the whole world. We sleep in a pile and run around and tussle. If we’re in separate rooms, we usually cry until we are reunited. Sometimes I try to nurse on her fur, but everyone says, "Oh, Patti, stop it!" so I'm maybe not supposed to do that.

This is a lot of stuff about me! There is one other important thing about me: I have a serious medical condition called Persistent Right Aortic Arch (or PRAA). My heart has an extra artery that pinches my esophagus and makes it very hard for me to eat. I really love to eat and wish I could eat all the good stuff the other cats get, but I have to stay on a special diet for now. I guess I'm lucky because some cats with PRAA can't eat much of anything and they can starve to death or die of aspiration pneumonia. I'm also lucky because 13th Street Cats has found a surgeon who can operate on me and make me all better! Then I can eat ALL KINDS OF NOMS! Also it means I will get to live a long and happy life, and not die young and leave Leggles by herself. Who would nurse on her then?!? This surgery is pretty expensive, so I am looking for friendly people who would like to help sponsor me. Every dollar you donate is a dollar towards my future of snacks, snuggling, running, naughty pranks, and silly antics. Your donation is tax deductible AND your employer might match it. THANKS!

13thstcats.org is a 501(c)(3) Non-Profit, No-Kill Rescue Group based in San Jose.

We try our best to match our cats to the perfect homes, and match them based on their personalities, not their looks. Adoptions are not done on a first come, first serve basis, rather in the order of what homes are the right match for that particular cat
