Ever known a funny cat? Not funny-looking...Esme is a lovely tortie...just the kind of kitty that will make you laugh. She loves attention...and LOVES to chow down (her tummy will attest to that!)

Esme is a sweet girl, not your typical (fiesty) tortie. She was found at a river creek trail with her 5 kittens. From the first day we got her she is always friendly with people and was a wonderful mama to her babies.

She loves to be petted and is great with other cats. She is FIV+ (FIV is NOT a death sentence...for more info: http://www.littlebigcat.com/index.php?action=library&act=show&item=livingwithfiv)

"Most FIV+ cats could be adopted and live with FIV-negative cats with very little risk of transmitting the disease. Because FIV is only transmitted through bite wounds, a non-aggressive FIV+ cat would not put other cats at risk."

13thstcats.org is a 501(c)(3) Non-Profit, No-Kill Rescue Group based in San Jose.

We try our best to match our cats to the perfect homes, and match them based on their personalities, not their looks. Adoptions are not done on a first come, first serve basis, rather in the order of what homes are the right match for that particular cat
