Name:  Callie

Age:  13 years

Health:  good, very good teeth and acts like a kitten

Personality:  very affectionate and attached; extremely shy at first; sociable with people, but gets jealous or frightened of other cats; she has not been exposed to dogs in her adult life, she used to live with a dog that she adored

Callie was found starving along with one sister in the attic of a house in Galveston, Texas.  She was hand fed by humans since her mother died while she was still very young.  She is very affectionate and loving.  She enjoys playing with a rope with frayed ends more than anything and she will fetch and retrieve small objects.  She is smart and understands commands.  She has been trained to stay off of human furniture.
