This cat was surrendered to SJACS at 10 yo and 9/10 body score. She was very unhappy there but truely seems to just be stressed by the other cats and was quickly meowing and seeking people attention on our ride home and when set up in our MUCH larger cage than the one at the shelter where she proceeded to decide to defend herself as needed!
She will need to diet and watch for diabetes, due to weight, but she seems in perfect health right now.
