Are you a Liz Taylor groupie? Or perhaps a fan of the one-hit wonder song “She’s got Cleopatra eyes?” then we have the cat for you -  introducing the cat with the eyeliner, it’s Asanga, a BFF Foster cat from the San Jose Woman's Club.

A very sweet, shy girl, Asanga loves cuddling and making biscuits in bed with you. Happy to be around other cats, she would learn a lot from a kind, confident kitty friend. She’s very gentle - named after a Buddhist spiritual leader - and she prefers a relaxed atmosphere without a lot of hustle and bustle. She would like a quiet home and some time to settle in.  Although cautious at first (it may take a couple of months for her to adjust), she will emerge a playful, loyal, loving companion. She spends her days spying the birds in the late afternoon through her window and perching on her cat tree, awaiting a nice brush or back scratch. But give her a bit of patience and you will be rewarded with her beautiful purr and smile. Asanga gets her size from the Maine Coon mix in her history, and this tall cat has unusual “cat on cat” markings on her back. She adores a good brushing and a belly rub.  Asanga  grew up in a small outdoor colony in downtown San Jose, but she has settled in as a house cat as she gains her confidence and footing in her size 12 stilettos.
