Quince is a friendly kitten and has yet to meet a toy she doesn’t love. She loves to chase a plastic spring around the house, then cries when she loses it under the furniture. Sometimes Quince will carry a fuzzy mouse around with her, and growls over it when her foster sister, Robin, tries to take it away. Waving a feather wand over her head will get Quince jumping and dancing to try and catch it, and tossing a crinkle ball toward her will instantly get her attention. When she’s not playing with her toys, Quince is exploring every nook and cranny of her foster home, often getting stuck and needing to be rescued from a too-tall shelf or a drawer she’s tumbled into. Quince also loves to play chase with Robin, and the two of them will race each other around the house. Quince is friendly and has a good purr for her favorite people when she’s getting pets, and will often dash up to greet her foster family when they come in the door. She can be a little cautious around new people, but she’s not scared and will come out to greet visitors. She loves to be around her people and her foster sister, Robin, and will cry if she thinks she’s alone. Quince has respected the adult cats in her foster home and leaves them alone, although she’s tried to be friendly.

13thstcats.org is a 501(c)(3) Non-Profit, No-Kill Rescue Group based in San Jose.

We try our best to match our cats to the perfect homes, and match them based on their personalities, not their looks. Adoptions are not done on a first come, first serve basis, rather in the order of what homes are the right match for that particular cat
