Looking for a more quiet and pensive kitty? Soot is your guy. He’s the most shy of his two siblings, but does get active and loves to play when he can be the center of attention. He has been the last one to come out of his shell, and still prefers a quiet corner to the hustle and bustle of playtime.

It’s great to slowly walk over to him and start rubbing his tummy, as he’ll almost immediately start purring to show his thanks and appreciation. He will readily jump out there and play with you (again, wand toys are favorites), but just as equally Soot is content just sitting quietly and enjoying some quiet time.

He’s been the most quiet with no vocalizing and only purring, and is starting to get familiar with getting his nails cut. He’s also very well box trained with no accidents. Half the time, Soot is happy sitting with his two siblings  - the other half the time, we’ll find him curled up in the sun by himself. Soot is so ready to find a permanent home and would love to meet you!

13thstcats.org is a 501(c)(3) Non-Profit, No-Kill Rescue Group based in San Jose.

We try our best to match our cats to the perfect homes, and match them based on their personalities, not their looks. Adoptions are not done on a first come, first serve basis, rather in the order of what homes are the right match for that particular cat
