Karina is a gray tabby and a somewhat Maine Coon-looking mix – except she is a talker and vocalizes any objections too! which is not so typical of Maine Coon crosses! She’ll let you know if there’s something she wants, and she would be best with another kitty in the home, because if she is lonely, she may call a lot. She is very playful, enjoys all toys, including paper bags, balls, and other cats for play time too. She purrs up a storm when you hold and pet her, but it does take a while for her to get bonded to you; you have to see through her bravado, and we give you tips on that!

Part of a litter of three, we were asked to rescue them because they were shyer kitties and no rescue group would take them as it would require some work – but of course we stepped up and, with the help of some great volunteers, did the first steps of socialization. So she will require a bit more time to become the awesome family member she is destined to be. We recommend a patient and quiet home, ideally with feline experience.
