Calida is a sweet thing, and a rare female orange tabby (only 20% orange cats are female); she has wonderful white accents as a tuxedo and eye liner!   She did great during her bath and purred up a storm while being dried.  She does really enjoy being held.  She was taken to a local shelter from a local overcrowded yard situation and needed rescue. Everything is a bit new to her, so a quiet understanding home to start with, to let her blossom, is ideal.  She is great with other kitty-cats and is fine about gentle dogs too. But she can also be adopted solo, she is very gentle.

13thstcats.org is a 501(c)(3) Non-Profit, No-Kill Rescue Group based in San Jose.

We try our best to match our cats to the perfect homes, and match them based on their personalities, not their looks. Adoptions are not done on a first come, first serve basis, rather in the order of what homes are the right match for that particular cat
