Fabulous Fiona! Fiona’s luck had run out. She was pregnant and in the slammer and her time was up. Either she needed to be rescued or she was doing to be put down. It was up to Fiona to get the attention of a nice rescue person if she was to be saved. Fiona went to work, and left no holds barred – rubbing against the bars of the cage, reaching a paw through for a pet, doing a little chirping purr – in short, doing what every wonderful, delightful, remarkable cat will do. You see, Fiona is fabulous. And it worked – Fiona was rescued, just in the nick of time.
Fiona is a very friendly, social, and outgoing girl. She will greet you at the door with a soft purr, and will wrap herself around her legs, patiently waiting for you to stoop down and give her a pet and then will hop into your lap for a good measure of pets and strokes.
Fionais stunningly beautiful – both inside and out! She is a petite girl, with a gorgeous gray, tiger striped coat. And she has the softest, most gentle purr in the whole world.
Fiona is as sweet as the day is long. She lives among other foster cats, and is patient and friendly with them. Fiona also lives with a medium-sized foster dog, and is slowly learning to tolerate her; she is quick to show who is boss and won’t back down.
Fiona is looking for an indoor-only home. She has been on the streets and finds the indoor life to be far, far better. (Been there, done that, you know!) She is very content being inside and being a pampered princess.
Fiona’s is ready for adoption - she is spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, de-flead and de-wormed, and a FeLV (negative) test. Fiona tested positive for FIV, and we don’t know if that’s because she was vaccinated or because she is carrying the virus. But either way, it’s no big deal, as Fiona is a happy cat who will be a long-time companion for the right human(s). (Please see the accompanying article that explains FIV.)
If you don't know about FIV here's a good primer -
http://www.littlebigcat.com/index.php?action=library&act=show&item=livingwithfiv)
"Most FIV+ cats could be adopted and live with FIV-negative cats with very little risk of transmitting the disease. Because FIV is only transmitted through bite wounds, a non-aggressive FIV+ cat would not put other cats at risk."
More about Fiona ♥
Special Needs: FIV positive - but that just means she needs to be inside away from germs!
