About Juno | |
|
|
Juno is a sweet girl, who loves being petted and purrs to let you know she’s happy. She’ll gladly accept scritches whenever they’re on offer and is happy to curl up beside you and make air biscuits as she purrs herself to sleep. She is at a great age where she’s calm and loves to relax, but also has her playful period each day, and happily entertains herself by chasing her springs and balls if no one is free to toss them for her. She has the cutest little trills and chirps to let you know she’s looking for you and has an adorable little bunny hop run when she’s feeling frisky and playful.
Juno has interacted with a few cats in our presence, and I think she could live with just about any cat, allowing for the proper introduction/getting to know you phase. Our cat was quite the bully, and Juno never reacted poorly to being growled at or pinned in a corner of a room. She would just make herself smaller and unassuming and wait her out, or if she could, calmly take herself to another room to avoid the conflict.
She’s very friendly with people, and is only mildly shy at first greeting, but warms up quickly and accepts any love and attention on offer. She settled into her current home quickly and finds her little spots to sleep in the window or curl up on the couch and is a happy girl. I haven’t seen her interact with young children, so wouldn’t recommend kids under 12 unless they have experience with a cat already and know to go slow with them.
We fostered Juno last year with her 4 kittens, and she went home with her mom in and has been a happy, easy going kitty ever since. Unfortunately, due to a major life change, Juno’s mom has had to make the difficult decision to give her up, so we’ve stepped in to take her back in as a foster until we can find Juno her true forever home.
This girl has a special place in our hearts and if our cat didn’t absolutely despise her we would keep her ourselves, but since we can’t, we are looking for a home where she’ll be safe, loved and part of the family as an indoor only cat.
Juno loves to cuddle beside you but in our home didn’t curl up in our laps, though given her affectionate nature that could change once she’s settled in your home (and not worried about our meanie cat coming around the corner at any moment). She has a bout of playfulness at least once a day, usually after dinner, and is happy to entertain herself if you’re busy and can’t throw her toys or dangle something for her to bat at. She lets us pick her up and loves to look out windows - she loves to have a place where she can sit or sleep beside a window so she can look out and watch the neighborhood.
We will be asking for some personal and vet references to be sure that she’s ending up in the best home we can find her for. And we will ask for a small rehoming fee, which will be matched by us and donated back to 13th Street Cats Rescue, who is helping us with a courtesy post to help make Juno more visible to potential adopters.
Medical: fully vaccinated, FIP/FELV negative, spayed, microchipped
Litter box habits: Uses a litter box and has happily shared a litter box with 4 kittens and another adult female with no issues.
Juno has found a home. Thank you.
