Bella suddenly and tragically lost her mama (owner) in her presence. She is an affectionate, sassy, silly lady. She loves to play fetch and has learned how to sit (when offered a treat). She prefers to be cuddled up next to you and will follow you around. But, she needs time to get back to her normal self. She is extremely frightened by the loss and events following. Paramedics, firefighters, police were in and out while Bella hid in her apartment. It took 2 days to find her in the apartment. She is very scared. She will need a lot of time and understanding. She is eating and using her littler box but only when she is alone. She will come out from hiding to sniff human visitors but once you reach out to pet her, she hisses and runs away. She is being kept safely at a friend's home until we can find her forever home. She is definitely a kitty who needs someone ready to help her trust again. She hasn't lived with other pets, so we don't know how she would do.

Mostly indoors but likes to sunbathe on a balcony or patio. She doesn't wander too far and is afraid of the road.

House trained.

Missing a few teeth so she does better with a little water in her dry food and some wet food.
