Gypsy appeared in her foster family's backyard hungry, in heat, and already being courted by a furry suitor. She has since made herself part of the family and has even made friends with their 3 cats, who are usually suspicious of newcomers.

She is an energetic and beautiful young cat with tons of personality and big, soulful owl-like eyes. She breezed right through her spay surgery and even tolerated the cone of shame with grace and patience. It really didn't seem to bother her much at all. She just adapted and carried on.

She loves people, especially people with wand toys and some time to play. She is a confident cat who explored every nook and cranny of the foster's 2 story apartment on day one, including their male cat's special "do not disturb" hiding spot in the back of the clothes closet. She found it and slept there for the rest of her first night.

Gypsy loves to play and cuddle, and she gets excited watching the squirrels and birds at the wildlife feeder outside the window. She likes to be where the "action" is, whether that's cooking dinner, cleaning house, or a good game of chase up and down the stairs with the other cats.

She is well behaved, loving, outgoing with humans and other cats, and keeps her beautiful coat well-groomed and silky soft. She is a very pretty and healthy little girl with a great temperament and no obvious behavioral issues. If she is given love, stability, attention and companions, we think she will thrive and be a beloved part of your family in no time at all.

That being the case, Gypsy will do best in a home with a family and other cats. She loves interacting with both and might get depressed if left alone for long periods of time. She has good eating habits and will even reject treats when she isn't hungry. She is fully potty trained and has not had any "accidents" since arriving at her foster home.

Whoever adopts Gypsy will be getting a great cat and a great family member. In the right environment, she will be a never-ending source of joy and love for her new family.

13thstcats.org is a 501(c)(3) Non-Profit, No-Kill Rescue Group based in San Jose.

We try our best to match our cats to the perfect homes, and match them based on their personalities, not their looks. Adoptions are not done on a first come, first serve basis, rather in the order of what homes are the right match for that particular cat
