About Opie

  • Status: Adopted!
  • Species: Cat
  • General Color: Orange and White
  • Current Age: 7 Years 5 Months (best estimate)

Opie’s a short-haired orange tabby. He is neutered and has all his shots. He is Litter trained. He is a very shy cat at first (be patient with him he’ll warm up). Although he is shy and sometimes scared of new people, he has never been aggressive. He is good with people but he’s not used to children so I wouldn’t recommend a home with small kids. He’s never been around other animals, but I think he will be fine as long as you introduce them the right way. He loves to cuddle/sleep on the bed with you. He loves to play fetch (yes just like a dog). He loves to play with laser pointers and chase toys. He loves to be hugged because that’s when he feels safe. He’s an indoor cat only.

Thank you if your able to help get Opie out of there and in with a loving family. His animal ID is A1055050. Located at the San Jose Animal Shelter off of Monterey Rd.

13thstcats.org is a 501(c)(3) Non-Profit, No-Kill Rescue Group based in San Jose.

We try our best to match our cats to the perfect homes, and match them based on their personalities, not their looks. Adoptions are not done on a first come, first serve basis, rather in the order of what homes are the right match for that particular cat
