Talk about a great kitty attitude! Shu is a bold and strong little girl who LOVES playing -- especially with her foster brother Ash. She plays really well (knows to nibble but not bite, bats and pushes with her claws in, etc). Shu is just learning how to do backflips and loves exploring. When she's not playing, Shu is also a little cuddle-girl who will nestle up on your chest, under your chin, on your lap -- anywhere. Very trusting, Shu will often give up her belly and just lie on her back so you can rub her tummy. She has an amazing purr motor and will readily let you know just how much she loves the attention you'll give her.

Past her bold personality, she has amazingly soft fur, is a hearty eater, is fully box-trained (not a single accident) and has the cutest ilttle mittens (or shoes) on all four feet. She's pretty smart too: we caught her on camera after she managed to break out of her nighttime pen...but were amazed upon returning hoem to find her BACK in her pen as if nothing had happened. Shu hasn't spent much time with bigger and older cats, but she has demonstrated her curiosity and boldness by seeking out and walking up to other "strange" cats despite being hissed at. Not a big "talker", Shu is on the quiet side vocally -- but WILL let out the tiniest of mews to say "hi" when you've been away for a bit. She is well adjusted and will make a great addition to any family. If you are interested in two kittens - consider adopting her together with her foster brother, Ash.

must be adopted with another companion animal in the home

13thstcats.org is a 501(c)(3) Non-Profit, No-Kill Rescue Group based in San Jose.

We try our best to match our cats to the perfect homes, and match them based on their personalities, not their looks. Adoptions are not done on a first come, first serve basis, rather in the order of what homes are the right match for that particular cat
